Let us understand how elections are held in America, as you all know, in our country, there is a parliament to make law and administration, MPs have two houses, one is Lok Sabha and one Rajya Sabha, the Lok Sabha is bigger and the Rajya Sabha is smaller.  There are 545 members in the Lok Sabha and in the Rajya Sabha, which is smaller, there are 245 members.  If you want to form your government, then it should be 1% more than 50% seats, this 50% should be from 545 members of these Lok Sabha. 

 Rajya Sabha is not considered in this, according to this, our majority comes to 273 seats.  Even we understood the MP of our country and the information related to it.  Now let's understand that America's MP is called Congress, just as the Lok Sabha is big in our country, in the same way there are House Representatives (HR) in America and Senate in America like our Rajya Sabha.  There are a total of 438 seats in the House of Representative, while the number of Senate is 100, two seats come from each state, there are a total of 50 states in America.  In this way, if we add Senior and House Representative in America, then 538 MPs come. 

 Accordingly, the majority in America is of 270 seats.  In order to get a majority here, only the Lok Sabha is given importance, whereas it does not happen in America, in America, you are recognized by both the House of Representatives and the Senate and its majority should be 270, then you will get the majority.  The election campaigning time in America is very long, it lasts for 1 year, as you all know that no president in America can become more than 2 years.  And in America,the term of the President is only 4 years, whereas in our India, the President had a tenure of 5 years for other ministers.  So let us now understand how the current US President Joe Biden won the election. 

 So they won the election according to the electoral college, as you all know that the number of seats they get in India, they keep as many seats.  Uttar Pradesh has 80 seats.  But in America, whoever gets more seats, he keeps the entire seats, even if it is one seat more.  Now in your mind the  question would come that what is this Electrol College, so in America electron college means seat.  As we say here that there are 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh, then Americans will say that there are 80 electrol colleges in Uttar Pradesh.  In America, the city named California has the highest number of electrol colleges, this city is also called swing city because it can change the election.
